37th Annual Camelot Auction

A Magical Night of Rotary And Miracles Our 37th Camelot Auction was the largest ever attended. With terrific auction items, delicious food, amazing service by the Four Points By Sheraton, the Rotary Club of Fairview Heights brought in a significant dollar value for the Fairview Heights Miracle League stadium fund. With $3950 raised just in paddle donations, the attendees graciously bid and invested their monies in memorable silent and oral auction items. Fairview Heights Rotary Mouse Races The Fairview Heights Rotary Club held their annual Mouse Races at the Fairview Heights Holiday Inn on the 19th of November, 2011. An evening filled with fun and engaging entertainment, the annual Mouse Races was a terrific success bringing in monies for both the Fairview Heights Miracle League, Polio Plus, and Fairview Heights Rotary charities. The Rotary 2011 Annual Costume Ball

On Saturday, October 29, 2011, the Fairview Heights Rotary Club held its first (perhaps annual) Costume Ball at the Magic Chef Mansion in south St. Louis. The 12,000 square foot mansion was completed in 1908 by Charles Stockstrom, the founder of the Magic Chef Stove Company. The mansion was owned by Stockstrom family until 1990, when Shelly Donaho purchased the mansion. It even has a bowling alley in the basement. Just wanted to remind everyone not to forget that we have our Costume Ball at the Magic Chef Mansion this Saturday from 8 to 11pm. The entry fee is $50 per ticket, drinks and finger foods included! Take a quick look at the Magic Chef Mansion's website and browse their galleries. The mansion is amazingly elegant and exceptionally maintained. It is well worth the visit just to see the mansion. Vincent’s Birthday Party

At our regular meeting October 24, 2011, our 15-year-old inbound exchange student, Vincent Gudenus, presented a wonderful power point program about his native Austria, highlighting its people, tourist industry, picturesque cities (especially Vienna and Salzburg) and villages (including his hometown of about 11,000 people, Voecklabruck), and spectacular mountain and lake scenery.
