Fairview Heights Rotary Blog » Land of Lincoln PETS: Districts 6510, 6580, 6490

A rounding success, the Land of Lincoln PETS ran March 9th and 10th in Effingham, Illinois, educating Rotary President Elects on their incoming responsibilities.  The following items were covered by our Session Facilitators:

  • Roles & Responsibilities
  • Club Administration
  • Public Relations
  • Service Projects
  • Social Media

Micah Zak, Club 3314 (Rotary Club of Fairivew Heights) Web Master, spoke on Social Media and Rotary: Moving Into The Future. The presentation was warmly received and many club leaders and district leaders had many, many questions. District 6580’s website was showcased, as well as our own, as being excellent examples of investing in a dynamic, powerful web presence that will grow and be very influential to Rotary as social awareness.

District 6580’s Governor, Paul Stanley, and Governor-Elect were very excited to see the positive feedback from Micah, as well as many other incoming club leadership. We are excited to see other districts and clubs jump on the band-wagon and help make our presence known, especially to the younger and up-coming generations.
